BlockRemove

BlockRemove was created to remove the Block-Checker adware/spyware/malware. It should remove files, directories, and registry keys created by Block-Checker.

History:
In August 2005, I was contacted by someone who said they had a "block checker virus". I looked into it and found that Block-Checker appeared, at least on the surface, to be a legitimate program for Instant Messenger. I forwarded that reader the removal instructions listed on the Block-Checker website, and put up a page with the information I had found.

Not long after, I received several more emails regarding Block-Checker, asking for removal help. I decided to create a removal tool for this pest. At the time, because I was unsure of details, I declined to add this to AIMFix and instead created a separate tool known as BlockRemove.
